Carly And Evan | Armstrong Farms Westminster Preserve Wedding

In my journey as a wedding photographer, I’ve photographed lots of lovers on their big day. And through these lovers, I’ve also had the pleasure and honor of listening to some truly unique and amazing love stories that are beyond any rom-com ever made (yes, seriously!). Something special happens when two individuals give you a sneak peek into their relationship and allow you to become a part of their private moments, and that’s something I truly treasure because I get to capture my clients as they are. No filters, no fake smiles, no stiff poses – just their true, raw emotions. Carly and Evan, who got married at the lovely Armstrong Farms Westminster Preserve, were such a delightful couple to work with. Here’s their wedding day story.

The Beginning Of Carly And Evan

Carly and Evan both lived in New York City when they met on a dating app, and things took off. On asking them about their proposal, Carly got all flushed describing the beautiful moment when Evan proposed to her on Christmas Eve in front of her family. “We are different, but we work well together. We push each other to be our best,” they replied when I asked them to define themselves as a couple. I knew from the moment I met them that they’d be a fuss-free, laid-back couple, making our partnership even better!

Carly And Evan’s Armstrong Farms Wedding

Carly and Evan’s Armstrong Farms Westminster Preserve wedding was everything a wedding photographer could ask for. The venue was a picturesque site nestled in the countryside and the perfect setting for a rustic-themed wedding. I started my day photographing Carly and Evan as they got ready to say I do. Carly was breathtaking in her white dress, and Evan looked dapper in his attire – the two of them made a stunning couple. I also took some solo shots of the bride with the bouquet, and the results were simply gorgeous, as the bouquet’s colors perfectly complemented her look.

The sprawling gardens provided ample opportunity for me to explore the space for solo shots of my couple, classic family portraits, and group photos. The bridesmaids and groomsmen were so much fun, and they loved posing for the camera. They were laughing and joking, and I had a blast taking their portraits. They were easily one of the most fun-loving wedding parties I’ve photographed.

With a perfect blend of rustic elegance and natural beauty (and 10/10 lighting!), Carly and Evan had a beautiful outdoor ceremony. It was a moment of pure joy and love, and the happy couple looked radiant. It was clear that they had been waiting for this moment. While there was plenty of love in the air, the farm’s backdrop added an extra touch of romance to the photographs.

Carly and Evan are a truly unique couple, and their couples portraits reflect that. Against the backdrop of an idyllic farm, they struck a series of playful and romantic poses. They were so in sync with each other and totally comfortable in front of the camera, which made it easy to capture their love and connection in the wedding photos. I especially loved how even when I was taking their portraits, Carly and Evan focused on having a good time with each other instead of worrying about the poses or how they looked. I really love it when my clients approach wedding photography with that attitude.

The reception was held in a picture-perfect barn decorated with fairy lights. Carly and Evan shared an emotional first dance with their parents and were surrounded by their closest friends and family, who helped to make the day even more memorable. Once the first dances were done, the dance floor was packed all night long, with guests dancing and singing their hearts out.
