Hayley & Sam's The Grayson House Wedding
Personally, I love outdoor wedding venues because they give me the ideal settings for creating light and airy photographs. And my couple Hayley and Sam's wedding venue, The Grayson House, blew me away for that very reason. Located in the countryside just outside of Uniontown, The Grayson House was without a doubt one of the dreamiest venues I've ever photographed in. The picturesque views of the rolling farmland and the Laurel Mountains in the background were ideal for my couple's wedding photos. I enjoyed getting to know Hayley and Sam and when I heard about their love story, my heart definitely melted!

Hayley and Sam first met at a concert near their hometowns when Hayley was 12 and Sam was 16. My gorgeous bride told me that ever since then, she has loved Sam. Years later, Sam proposed to her during a vacation in Venice, Italy! An evening spent listening to Italian music and relaxing in front of Saint Marks Basilica. I can't imagine anything more romantic than this!
Like I do with all my couples, I wanted to know Hayley and Sam's story before I photographed their wedding. So when I asked them about their favorite date night activity, they told me that they love to do "anything together!" I thought this was such a sweet and simple answer, and it really showed me how Hayley and Sam genuinely are the best of friends. It wasn't just their words. Even the strong bond between them showed me that these two were meant to be together. They were so comfortable and in sync with each other that I couldn't stop admiring my lovely couple.
The highlight of Hayley and Sam's wedding, besides the venue, was the big bridal party and the amount of fun everyone was having. I loved photographing my bride as she relaxed with her bridesmaids and the groom enjoyed with his gang of men. They were just such a lively group, and I think the group photos really show that.
Every wedding has its emotional moments, and there were some at Hayley and Sam's wedding too. Hayley's first look for her father and then for Sam were two of them. My bride's father was so overwhelmed with emotions that he couldn't help but admire his beautiful daughter for a couple of minutes before he hugged her. Sam couldn't control his tears of joy when he saw his beautiful bride! Such moments make for everlasting memories, and there was no way I would have missed them. The other sweet moments I photographed were the first dance of the newlyweds and the father-daughter dance. The speeches at their reception were so heartwarming too.
