Heather & Joey’s Rivers Casino Wedding
Springtime in Pittsburgh is gorgeous, with pink and purple blooms greeting you everywhere. Not only are they a beautiful addition to the surroundings in general, but they also make for great backdrops for wedding photos. And for Heather and Joey’s April wedding this year, I made sure I took advantage of the Pittsburgh Spring. Heather and Joey are high school sweethearts, and Joey had proposed to Heather at their favorite winery in Charlottesville, Virginia (where Joey went to school). With a story so romantic, I knew their wedding would be a romantic affair laced with elegance, and that’s exactly what it turned out to be!
Rivers Casino Wedding Photography
On Heather and Joey’s big day, I started by taking detail photos of Heather’s bridal gown, her footwear, rings shots, and other details. Then, I took some pictures of her getting ready with the bridesmaids and also photographed Joey with his sharply dressed groomsmen. One of the best images during this time was the one with the two little flower girls. They were simply adorable! It was such a beautiful moment when Heather had the first look for Joey. His reaction was so precious and pure! Soon after the first look, I took some family portraits, and guess who else joined them for the photos? My couple’s furry friend!
Heather and Joey’s ceremony church was enchanting. I loved taking indoor photos there. After the ceremony, I took my couple for some more romantic couple portraits. Now that they were newlyweds, the energy was even more lovely and joyful! I always make sure I get the chance to sneak away my couple from the guests and festivities on their wedding day. I love downtown weddings, and this one was no exception. In the process of taking outdoor photos, we even had to stop traffic multiple times to get their photos on the bridge. It was quite an adventure!
My couple hosted a reception at Rivers Casino, and it was amazing! This was my first time shooting a wedding at the Casino, and it was an incredible experience! Whether it was photographing the traditional dances or capturing the crazy dance moves, everything about this wedding was so delightful! At the reception, Heather and Joey had a friend do a live finger painting portrait of them during dinner. It was fantastic and super impressive!!
